Compliance Manager – Exciting Opportunity in Global Trade and Compliance
Are you an expert in trade compliance, export control, and anti-corruption regulations? We are seeking a Compliance Manager to lead and enhance a world-class compliance program. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven professional to take ownership of critical compliance functions while contributing to the success of a global organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance on export and trade regulations, including jurisdiction and classification determinations, screening parties, and licensing analysis.
- Ensure compliance with global anti-corruption legislation by overseeing KYC due diligence, agent certifications, and transaction structure reviews.
- Prepare, submit, and monitor export and import license applications, technical assistance agreements, re-transfer requests, and related documentation.
- Manage and update compliance documentation, including the Code of Conduct, Anti-Corruption Policy, Export Control Instructions, and IT & Data Security Policy.
- Investigate and resolve potential violations of compliance policies or applicable laws.
- Act as the main point of contact for compliance issues, spanning areas such as export control, data security, occupational health & safety, anti-harassment, environmental regulations, and fair competition.
- Liaise with government regulators such as the Department of Commerce, Department of State, NNSA, DCAA, and DCMA.
- Identify and mitigate trade compliance risks while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Provide training on compliance topics and oversee web-based training platforms.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (legal degree preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in aerospace trade compliance, including expertise in:
- ITAR and EAR licensing
- USML and ECCN classification
- US and global sanctions lists
- Anti-corruption compliance (FCPA and UK Anti-Bribery Act)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess international business requirements and mitigate compliance risks.
- Proven ability to collaborate across global teams and drive compliance excellence.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Experience advocating for company positions with regulators and interpreting complex regulations.
