Electronic Design Engineer

Electronic Design Engineer | £40-55k | Reading | Hybrid

A leading company in the med-tech space is looking for an Electronic Design Engineer to join their team of high performing engineers designing the next generation of essential medical products.

Due to a strong financial position, lots of investment in R&D, and a new  cutting edge product being green-lit, they are looking for an Electronic Design Engineer.

Main duties:
+ Design, develop, and implement electronics and embedded software, providing support & advice to members of the R&D team
+ Ensuring that all designs comply with medical device standards & regulations (training on this will be provided)
+ Be a key part of the design team, selecting components for PCBs, and developing embedded software for key elements of cutting edge embedded electronics

Skills and Experience Required:
+ Degree in electronics or related field, or demonstratable experience and a HNC or equivalent
+ Experience with analogue & digital circuit design
+ Experience with embedded C  
+ Confident with schematic capture & PCB layout 

Bonus:
+ Knowledge of BS EN 60601 & 62304 standards
+ Experience in subversion revision control
+ Proficient in KiCAD
