

Electronics Engineer
Electronics Engineer – Leicestershire – £45k - £60k D.O.E
A well-established and reputable product development business is looking for an Electronics Engineer to join its growing R&D team. The company designs and manufactures innovative hardware solutions across a variety of industries and offers a stable environment with exciting, hands-on engineering challenges.
This role would suit someone with a background in embedded electronics, PCB design, and low-level hardware-software integration, who enjoys working across the full product lifecycle—from concept to production.
Main Responsibilities:

Develop and design electronics hardware for embedded systems and industrial products.

Produce schematic designs and oversee PCB layout, component selection, and design for manufacture (DFM).

Support embedded software engineers with hardware bring-up and integration.

Conduct system-level testing and debugging of prototypes and final assemblies.

Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and production teams to deliver robust, commercial-grade products.

Ensure all designs meet regulatory compliance and safety standards.

Maintain comprehensive technical documentation throughout the design and development process.
Skills & Experience Required:

Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in electronics circuit design and hardware development.

Hands-on experience with PCB design tools (e.g. Altium, KiCAD, or similar).

Knowledge of microcontroller-based systems and low-power design.

Comfortable working with lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.).

Experience supporting or working alongside embedded software teams.

Understanding of EMC and product compliance requirements is a plus.
