About the Role

A leading electronics manufacturer based in Portsmouth is looking for an Engineering Manager to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Engineer looking to take the next step into leadership, managing projects and guiding a talented engineering team.

You’ll play a key role in the development of innovative electronic products across a range of industries, with the freedom to influence design, manufacturing processes, and future technology direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of design and manufacturing engineers

• Oversee the development of new electronic products from concept to production

• Provide technical guidance and ensure best practices across projects

• Collaborate closely with R&D, production, and quality teams

• Drive continuous improvement and innovation within engineering processes

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an electronics R&D environment

• Strong 3D CAD design experience (SolidWorks preferred)

• Proven leadership or mentorship experience (people or project-based)

• Experience with PCB design software

• Hands-on electronics hardware experience
