Finance Manager
Salary: £50,000 – £65,000
Location: Cambridge (onsite)

My client is a well-established UK technology and manufacturing organisation with a strong international presence and a reputation for high-quality products. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function and support both operational and strategic decision-making.
The Role
Reporting to the Group Finance Director, the Finance Manager will oversee the day-to-day finance operations for multiple group entities. This is a hands-on role combining financial control, reporting, team leadership, and process improvement within a growing and collaborative business.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the finance function across group entities.
• Lead, manage, and develop a small finance team.
• Prepare and review month-end reporting for budget holders, senior leadership, and external stakeholders.
• Deliver consolidated management accounts with clear analysis and commentary on business performance.
• Monitor, manage, and forecast group cash flow and working capital.
• Coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes, including half-year forecasts.
• Act as the main point of contact for year-end audits, preparing analysis and audit deliverables.
• Support insurance renewals with appropriate financial analysis.
• Ensure balance sheet reconciliations and internal controls are maintained and reviewed.
• Drive process improvements and finance projects, including system implementations and automation initiatives.
• Provide cover, support, and training to other members of the finance team.
Skills & Experience Required
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Solid technical accounting knowledge, including consolidations and currency considerations.
• High attention to detail and strong commercial awareness.
• Advanced Excel capability.
• Experience preparing consolidated management reports.
• Understanding of internal controls and financial governance.
• Proven experience implementing change and coaching or training others.
• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / ACA preferred).
Working Pattern
• Monday to Thursday: 08:30 – 17:00
• Friday: 08:30 – 15:45
• Onsite role based near Cambridge (approximately 10 miles south)
