Lead Electronics Engineer | £70k | Cambridge

My client designs, manufactures, and delivers the core infrastructure that powers the most demanding, high-speed, and complex networks on the planet.

They push the boundaries of speed and reliability where failure is not an option.

Their roadmap for 2026 is looking very promising, and they have a large amount of cash to fund big R&D projects. They are looking for an engineer with 5+ years of experience who wants to take a step up and lead a growing team of engineers.

Responsibilities as a Lead Electronics Engineer:

• Deliver hardware design from concept through to manufacturing release
• Design & implementation of hardware design, using schematic capture, for both digital and analogue electronics
• Focused on solving problems and cross-disciplinary collaboration with system engineers, process engineers, software engineers and mechanical engineers
• Mentor and support less experienced engineers

Requirements:

• A proven track record of delivering complex products against demanding timescales
• Good working knowledge of circuit design using a mixture of both analogue and digital electronics.
• Experience of complex PCB designs using a mixture of analogue and digital electronics.
• 5+ years of experience in a Senior role

Desirable skills as a Lead Electronics Engineer:

• Proficiency in one or more of the following areas
• VHDL, high-speed digital design, embedded software development, power electronics, system engineering, telecommunication systems, analogue electronics and design for EMC
