Multi-Skilled Machine Tool Fitter
Location: Coventry (Onsite, with some overseas travel)
Salary: £30,000–£35,000

My client, a well-established precision engineering manufacturer, is looking for a Multi-Skilled Machine Tool Fitter to join their team. This hands-on role focuses on building and assembling high-precision machinery to exacting standards.

Key Responsibilities
•    Build and assemble complex machinery from engineering and assembly drawings 
•    Carry out precision fitting, including bearings and close tolerance components 
•    Perform drilling, tapping, and general fitting work 
•    Install pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including testing and calibration 
•    Install pipework, cabling, switches, sensors, and motors 
•    Use toolroom machinery such as lathes, mills, and grinders 
•    Support customer site visits when required 

Requirements
•    Strong experience in machine tool building or complex mechanical assembly 
•    Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings 
•    Experience working to tight tolerances 
•    Competent with workshop machinery and lifting equipment 
•    Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail 
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team
