Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Salary: £30,000–£38,000
Location: Suffolk

Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for precision engineering and tooling design? This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established engineering company based in Suffolk, specialising in the design, manufacture, and global distribution of high-quality products.

As part of their ongoing expansion, they’re looking for a talented engineer to design and develop advanced production tooling, supporting the continued growth and innovation of their manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:
+ Create and develop conceptual tooling designs
+ Produced detailed 3D CAD design drawings
+ Design and develop products from initial concept through to full-scale production
+ Prototype and test new designs to ensure performance and manufacturability
+ Develop testing methodologies and perform data analysis to validate designs

Key Experience:
+ Degree in engineering or relevant industry experience
+ Proven experience in tooling design
+ Strong 3D CAD skills – ideally Solidworks
+ Hands-on workshop skills
+ Experience in prototyping and design validation
