Mechanical Design Engineer – Electro-mechanical
Location: Cambridgeshire 
Salary: £35k-£45k

Are you a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer with a flair for problem-solving and development? This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company known for high-quality, safety-critical technology. You’ll play a key part in the design and delivery of complex electro-mechanical products, working across the full development lifecycle, from initial concepts through to production.

Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop mechanical systems and assemblies for high-performance products
+ Create 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings
+ Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams 
+ Support prototyping, testing, and fault-finding
+ Participate in design reviews and apply best practices

Key Requirements:
+ Practical experience in taking a product from concept through to production
+ Strong proficiency in 3D CAD design – Solidworks 
+ Experience with manufacturing methods - injection moulding and CNC machining
+ Previously designed scientific or electro-mechanical products  
+ Solid understanding of mechanical fundamentals - mechanism design, structural and dynamics analysis
