A pioneering technology company at the forefront of scientific and laboratory innovation is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Design Engineer to join their dynamic R&D team. The company develops advanced temperature-controlled systems used in precision research and clinical environments worldwide.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the design and development of next-generation refrigeration systems, working from concept through to production in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop ultra-low temperature refrigeration systems
+ Use analytical and numerical modelling to optimise system performance
+ Define and review refrigeration system and component specifications
+ Produce technical documentation to support ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 compliance
+ Support product testing, guide test engineers, and analyse results for improvements
+ Support manufacturing processes to meet safety, quality, and performance standards
Key Requirements:
+ Degree in Mechanical Engineering; MSc or PhD in Heat & Mass Transfer advantageous
+ Strong background in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and refrigeration system design
+ Proven experience in structured product development (DFM, FMEA, ISO 9001)
+ Skilled in mathematical modelling of thermal or refrigeration systems
+ Proficient in Refprop, Flownex, and SolidWorks (CAD)
+ Effective communicator with strong documentation skills
