We’re partnering with a leading engineering organization that specializes in the repair, analysis, and innovation of high-power RF and microwave systems used in critical applications across semiconductor, medical, industrial, and photovoltaic sectors.

They are seeking a seasoned RF Engineer to join their technical team in Texas. This is a hands-on role involving design analysis, reverse engineering, and improvement of RF systems used in plasma generation, film deposition, and etching environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, test, and repair high-power RF delivery systems, including RF generators, matching networks, and transmission lines.
  • Reverse-engineer and improve existing designs for performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Design and prototype analog and RF circuits; perform PCB layout, schematic capture, and component selection.
  • Conduct thermal analysis and impedance matching across a range of power and frequency levels.
  • Utilize simulation tools for circuit analysis and performance modeling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high standards of quality, safety, and documentation.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • BSEE or MSEE from an accredited institution.
  • 10+ years of relevant hands-on RF engineering experience.
  • Deep experience with RF and analog circuit design, particularly in systems operating up to 50kW and 200MHz.
  • Familiarity with magnetronsmicrowave generators, and associated waveguide systems.
  • Strong background in RF amplifier topologies (Class A–E), passive networks (filters, splitters, combiners), and impedance matching.
  • Proficiency with tools like ADS or GenesysSonnet (2.5D)LTspice, or equivalent simulation software.
  • Skilled with network/spectrum analyzers and RF diagnostic test equipment.
  • Ability to work hands-on with mechanical tools and bench instruments.
  • Understanding of electrical safety protocols and engineering documentation practices.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and standard engineering software.
  • Strong communication skills; able to collaborate across teams and mentor others.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Background in Amateur Radio or personal RF projects.
  • Familiarity with structured problem-solving techniques (e.g., Ishikawa diagrams).
  • Experience in component engineering and quick-turn prototyping.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • On-site, indoor lab and office environment.
  • Regular use of hand tools and RF testing equipment.
  • Physical activity includes standing, walking, reaching, kneeling, occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs), and visual inspection tasks.

Compensation & Benefits:
