About the Role

An established Building Services Consultancy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their growing design team.

You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical designs for a wide range of building projects, overseeing engineering calculations, schematics and drawings, and coordinating closely with other disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to take ownership of projects, mentor junior engineers, and play a key role in driving technical excellence across the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support mechanical design projects from concept to completion

• Produce detailed drawings, schematics and engineering calculations using AutoCAD and Revit

• Coordinate with electrical, structural and architectural teams to deliver fully integrated designs

• Provide technical support during project reviews, resolving design issues and ensuring quality compliance

• Liaise with clients, contractors and design teams on technical matters

• Monitor project budgets, workloads and timelines

• Support and mentor junior engineers within the team

Requirements

• Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in building services mechanical design, or a mix of design and site experience

• Strong working knowledge of CAD/Revit and UK design standards

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Chartered or working towards CIBSE accreditation (ACIBSE/MCIBSE) preferred
