Salary: £45,000 – £55,000, depending on experience

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join a fast-paced and dynamic engineering team. Operating across sectors such as Medical, Automotive, Aerospace, Defense, and Packaging, this role offers the chance to make a significant impact within a company renowned for its design, development, and manufacturing capabilities.

This is a hands-on role within a busy Quality Department, ideal for a candidate with a strong background in quality systems and auditing, particularly within regulated industries such as medical or automotive manufacturing.

Responsibilities
Maintain and continuously improve quality management systems in line with ISO9001, ISO13485, and ISO14001.

Supervise and mentor apprentices within the department.

Conduct internal and supplier audits; represent the company during customer and third-party audits.

Oversee and complete PPAP submissions, including documentation and sample inspections.

Perform measurements and inspections in line with technical drawings and customer specifications.

Direct Quality Control personnel to meet customer and dispatch demands.

Liaise daily with customers and suppliers.

Investigate non-conformances and complete relevant quality reports (8D, 4M, FTA).

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer quality requirements are understood and met.

Drive continuous improvement of company processes and the QMS.

Requirements
Strong knowledge of ISO13485 requirements

Auditing experience, including internal and supplier production line audits. Lead Auditor certification is advantageous.

Prior experience in a Quality Assurance role within an engineering environment.

Proficiency in PPAP processes, including PFMEA and supporting documentation.

Familiarity with quality tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, Six Sigma, and CI methodologies
