An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Engineering Specialist to join an established engineering business involved in the development of complex mechanical equipment. The company focuses on product development, practical engineering and testing, supporting projects from prototype build through to performance evaluation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, hands-on engineer looking to work on varied technical projects. You'll combine workshop-based engineering with prototype development, test equipment design and fault diagnosis, working alongside a wider engineering team to improve product performance, reliability and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build, modify and test engineering prototypes
• Design and build specialist test equipment
• Conduct product testing and field trials
• Investigate faults and identify root causes
• Operate and maintain workshop machinery and fabrication equipment
• Work with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems

Skills & Experience Required:

• 5+ years' experience in a hands-on engineering role
• Experience with specialist machinery or mobile equipment
• Knowledge of engines, electric motors and drive systems
• Understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems
• Practical machining, fabrication and welding skills
• Experience testing equipment against defined procedures
