Software Test Engineer

Our client, a leader in Radar and RF Technology, is seeking a Software Test Engineer to support the development and testing of cutting-edge software for their advanced RF and radar systems. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer with a strong technical background in software testing to work on innovative products in the defence and maritime sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and test software to support company products and services.
• Produce and maintain software build and test specifications.
• Collaborate with internal teams and liaise with external stakeholders on software-related matters.
• Enhance the testability and reliability of software.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Strong technical background with a focus on software testing.
• Solid understanding of the Software Engineering Lifecycle, especially test and integration.
• Proficiency in scripting/programming to automate builds and testing.
• Experience testing software on PCs running Windows (minimum 1 year).
• Ability to write test plans, specifications, and reports.
• Experience in software builds & software installers (desirable).
• Familiarity with Radar Systems, RF Technology, and Defence Engineering (preferred).
• Willingness to travel occasionally, including visiting and sailing with ships in the UK and abroad.
